Presenting a modified rendition of the original "CR2032 Box (20pcs)" model designed by ProfesionalHobbyist. Initially, I utilized the original design but found it somewhat lacking in meeting my expectations:
- The holes proved to be excessively deep, making it cumbersome to extract the batteries.
- I contemplated loading every second hole to facilitate easier retrieval, but this would inevitably reduce the overall storage capacity.
- The lid failed to snugly fit onto the case due to zero tolerance in STL as per ProfesionalHobbyist's explanation.
In light of these observations, I proceeded to make several adjustments tailored to my preferences:
- I reduced the depth of the holes by 7 mm, resulting in the batteries being partially exposed, thus simplifying retrieval Accordingly the height of the lid was increased by 7 mm. Refer to attached photos.
- By doubling the width of the case, I effectively doubled the total number of holes to 40, enabling me to store 20 pieces with ease, even when utilizing every other hole. This modification significantly enhances accessibility when storing just 20 pieces.
- I made slight alterations to the lid thickness, ensuring a more precise fit post-printing.
