It started as a rear duct for the NR200 NR200P PC cases, but I've added ones for other fans. It's mostly meant to direct the air from an exhaust fan. It's designed to duct the hot air from the fan toward the top of the case to prevent warm air from being pulled back in. You could also mount it the other way if you use the back vents as an intake for a CPU cooler.
For the NR200, it fits over the back where the 92mm fan vents are and uses the screws that come with fans for attaching to the case.
