The file 'Component Leg Bending Gauge For Breadboarding Or PCB 3D Printer Model' is (FCStd,stl) file type, size is 1.0MB.

Summary

To prepare wired components for placement on a breadbord or PCB, the legs have to be bend and cut. To make the final width fit the 2,54 mm raster of typical breadboards I created two simple bending and cutting gauges.

There is a small gauge for widths from 4 - 8 and a larger gauge from 8 to 12 raster units. The larger gauge is also deeper, because larger components typically have also a larger diameter. The legs are cut at the bottom of the gauge and fit nicely into a breadbord.

The gauges come also in two variants: One plain and one with the embossed numbers of the corresponding raster size. The embossed numbers can also be printed in a different filament color, by changing the filament at the according height (e. g. with the "Pause print at height feature" of Cura). I used a wall line count of 5 by slicing with Cura, to avoid infill in the smaller structures at the sides.

The design files are also provided in FreeCAD format, so you can adapt the gauges as you see fit. Please note, that the font used for the ShapeStrings is IBM Plex Sans Bold. The font family can be downloaded at https://github.com/IBM/plex/releases/tag/v4.0.2 or you can change the font to a locally available type.
