Summary

This is a remix of scarou's compact bowden extruder. I liked the design, but there are a few tweaks that I wanted to make for use with a new delta printer I'm designing. This was a ground up redesign of this extruder, so all STEP files are now included for those who want to modify the design further. As always, any and all feedback is encouraged and appreciated.

Difference from original design:

  • Added extension levers to the idler arms for relieving pressure on filament during loading
  • Uses nylon lock-nuts instead of standard nuts
  • Accommodates 4mm mounting hardware
  • Removed support structures that were too thin for printing with 0.4mm and larger nozzles
  • Changed the length of the tension bolts and recommended springs.
