Summary

I was looking for a way to hang some remotes and didn't want to use a lot of filament so I designed a quick to print hanger for 3M Command Strips. It worked so well on the remotes that I braved hanging an old smart phone and it works great.

Print 2! They are mirror images so you'll need to print a pair.

Orientation is important. There is a small ledge that keeps heavier items from falling. On the wall side it goes on the bottom and on the remote side it should be at the top. If you get it backwards, the item may not be held securely. Falls can damage your items.

I used some neodymium magnets I had lying around. They measure 3 mm by 6 mm diameter. I use a dab of glue and small mallet to encourage them into the snug fitting holes. Depending on the weight of the item you can use 2 to 6 magnets. When in doubt, use 6.

After printing insert the magnets. One near the ledge will match one furthest from the ledge on the other half. Mount with Command Strips. I place the mount away from the end I hold the remote from and it doesn't interfere with normal operation.

Happy printing and let me know if you enjoy or find additional uses.
