I borrowed the distribution head and made a handle for it. The distribution tool has a fixed depth of 5mm, I didn't see the value in the adjustable height once the correct height was achieved, I tried with a few heights (6.5mm 6mm 5.5mm and 5mm) and the best one is either 5.5mm or 5mm for a 17g double shot. Because I still tamp, 5mm worked the best.
I have a Braville Barista Pro, and this tool is working wonders.
