Summary

From the Murray Springs Clovis site in the San Pedro Valley of Arizona comes the only known (at the time of posting) Clovis "shaft wrench", made of bone. This is very similar to a Bâton percé Magdalénien, Magdalenian pierced baton, or shaft straightener. I also have one of those listed on my Thingiverse page. This is an approximated replica, not a strict copy. It's slightly shorter than the original, which was found in 2 pieces. I have not handled the original, I just worked off photographs. The inside of the hole is beveled, and on the original was approximately 25mm x 30 mm. Mine is ever so slightly larger, although the encircling flange of bone (the head) of the tool is slightly wider on the original. So as mentioned above this is more an "homage" than a direct replica, but should capture the overall characteristics of the original, with a perforation approximately the same size.

The inside of the hole was hard to scan, and is a little weird, but it shouldn't be a big deal.

I am presenting these 3d models to everyone, free of charge. None of them were directly scanned from original (“real”) artifacts, but made off of copies which I have personally carved myself. Because of this, I own the rights to all of these; and I hereby give you free access to use them for whatever purposes you desire.
