I had to sew a button back onto a coat, but I didn't have the backer for it. For those who don't know, these backers go on the opposite side of the fabric from the button (under the button). The point is to prevent the thread from ripping through the coat fabric if pulled by distributing the force in a wider area. Instead of having to pull small loops of thread through the fabric, you'd have to pull this entire plastic backer through the fabric. It works well, and besides being the color of your filament, it looks the same as the originals.
It's a 2 minute print per backer, so it's definitely faster than going out and getting one. I checked thingiverse for an existing design before I made this one, and there weren't any, so I'm sharing this one. Better something than nothing, right?
