Heyho :)
After several clotheslines have already broken because they were previously simply knotted to the hooks / eyelets, I have a small 3D printable alternative for fastening:
Advantages:
The main load of the clothesline is no longer on a small radius, but on a large one. This prevents it from having to absorb large frictional forces at only a small point, which would otherwise tend to peel off the plastic sheathing.
The ends can be attached without having to tie knots. (Simply thread through the 2 holes as shown in the picture)
Several rows of lines can be connected together and thus tension each other.
Scalability:
My clothesline was approx. 4.5 mm in diameter. However, as all parts are printed, you can also flexibly adapt the clothesline in your slicer to other diameters or applications!
2 versions:
Eyelet: In this version, the bracket is printed in 2 parts and can then also be mounted in eyelets. The U-shape should be pressed all the way down to the ground so that it snaps in properly! This can take some force.
Hook: Here you can simply attach the washing line to the hook. Advantageous if you want to remove the line from time to time!
Printing Tipps:
For best durability use 5-6 Perimeter (with a 0,4 mm Nozzle) and 100% Infill. As Material I would recommend sth. like PETG, ASA or other stuff materials that will not deform over time.
Have fun!
