Is your design lab is large and roomy, or small and cozy? Either way, being productive requires that work areas and surfaces be clear of clutter and tools and components be within easy reach.

In our lab, we have a seemingly endless array of different components and connectors, bearings and bushings, screws and servos that we keep organized using parts storage cabinets with drawers of various sizes.

We used to set all these cabinets on work surfaces that line the walls of the lab, which reduced the usable area of the work tables. So we installed Wall Control metal pegboards metal pegboards along the walls and designed these simple 3D printable clips. This allowed us to mount the cabinets on the wall above work surfaces, though still within reach, to reclaim the surface area the cabinets used to take up.

These clips are designed to be compatible with most Akro-Mils, Stack-On, Johnssteel, Stow-Away, and Balance World parts storage cabinets. But we would love to hear from you if this design doesn't fit a cabinet in your lab. Please send us a picture of the back of your cabinet along with an accurate measurement of the cabinet's thickness when the clips attach to the caninet so that we can adjust our designs.
