I got these knee pads for cheap at a used gear store because they didn't have the little black plastic clips for two of the straps. I knew I could probably 3D print them. This sure isn't the prettiest project after melting the clip a little but it makes my safety equipment work and that's all that matters to me.
I took the grain direction of the printing process into mind with this part, but it makes post processing necessary. Once this part has been printed you must heat the base of the hook shape and twist it 90 degrees. I used a lighter and gently flashed it with heat several times to loosen the area up and then twisted and cooled under cold water. This would be much nicer looking if a different source of heat was used. I also did a little light trimming with a knife to round out a few rough edges
