Installed on my 1972 karmann ghia (type 14), but it should work with similarly set up beetles and KG years.
The NRG short hub made for the classic VW does NOT come with a horn contact ring, so I purchased a spare ring for my KG and put this spacer in the NRG short hub. The little raised sleeve should fit nice and snug in the wire opening of the hub. Just needs 6 screws to attach the two parts (spacer friction fits to the hub).
