Summary

A 1965 Mustang and many other classic cars have a single 4x10 speaker (or is it called 3x9?) for the mono AM radio. As an upgrade, after-market products are offered where a pair of 3.5" speakers fit in the hole for that 4x10 speaker. Not knowing the quality of the speakers themselves, I designed a mount for two 3.5" speakers so I could pick the speakers. I used two Pyle speakers but I'm sure others would fit or could be adapted.

My 3D printer is not able to print something that is 10" long so I split the design into two identical halves. The two halves interlock and two #8 sheet metal screws hold the parts secure.

As shown in the pictures, the part interfered with the speaker grill so the design was modified accordingly. The stl file looks slightly different from the pictures due to this mod. If I reprint the parts, I will upload a new set of pictures but I will only do that if I print with another material. I just cut some of the material away with a saw to create my clearance, after taking the pictures. I had other things to do than to reprint!
