Who doesn't love a good Claptrap? Well lots of people I guess, but I really like this little guy. His antics kept me entertained through the Borderlands games so I knew that I wanted to create one of these for myself.
I created the model in Fusion 360. I used sketches almost exclusively to create this. I started out by lofting two sketches together to get the main body shape. Then I just proceeded to sketch out all the details I could see. I resized as I went to make sure everything looked proportional.
After it I printed it out (settings below), I handed it off to my wife who sanded the crap out of it, glued it together, primed it, and painted it using a combination of spray paint, airbrush, and paintbrush techniques.
