I've been wanting to do Quadcopter airial photography for a while now.. I had a big drone with a Gimbal, but now-a-days you cannot fly it because its too big and heavy.

This little guy is meant to fill that void once again. The idea here is that you run a Caddx Turtle or Runcam split mini with a light 20x20 stack to get nice smooth HD Video.

I am not sure if it would work, but you could probably put big motors on it as well and run a go-pro.

The ducts are for 3 inch props. I've put 3m holes in the duct joints, so a bolt through the whole thing would hold best.

Let me know your thoughts.. I have not printed or built this guy yet, but I am looking forward to it :)

Oh and the walls on the ducts are super thin. I would suggest you print them as fine as possible with 100% infill to get the best shape and strength out of them.

It is possible to get this under 250g !!..
My build with the Caddx Turtle V2 is JUST 250g on the button.

You will need to ensure:
1 - Short wires
2 - Nothing bigger than a lollipop antenna
3 - Short power lead /w XT30
4 - Not too much shrink-sleeving
5 - I had to skip the capacitor, but my video is awesome.
6 - Small light battery strap.

1 - I've created new ducts that are shorter by 4mm from the initial set and thinner by ~.3mm
2 - I've added some additional 20x20 and 16x16 mounting holes on the light top plate to make it lighter and perhaps help with mounting options for various components.
3 - Included New Base plate V2 that has additional 20x20 & 30.5x30.5 center mounts at 45degrees. This way you can use a full size ESC or FC if you like or just mount up so its easier to access the USB port, etc.. More options == better & lighter.

1 - Added some trial ducts with some holes to make them even lighter!

I am using a 650mah 3S battery
Eachine 1306 Motors.
