Summary

Have you ever seen a stylish, chunky steel chain on a fashion website that costs upwards of $200? I have, and that upset me enough to make my own instead.

Granted, my chain is not metal, but it can be printed in filaments that look metallic at night or in a poorly-lit space. This chain also cannot be used to carry any amount of weight, but it can sit comfortably around your neck. The design includes a simple but effective clasp, too.

As implied by its title, the Chunky Chain sure is chunky. The gauge (hole diameter at the center of each link) is 0.512”, and the chain is 45cm long. It is composed of 33 identical links and two clasp components. The single print-in-place STL file is less than 154mm in diameter.

Ain’t much to this project, compared to my previous stuff. If you’re new to printing, this may be suitable as a large beginner project. No assembly required!
