In spirit of the Christmas season, I decided to make a Lithophane ornament.
What’s unique about my ornament is that, the artwork is custom made by my sister!
The ornament is in the shape of a bell which made this unique, related to Christmas, and much harder to turn into a Lithophane.
Even though it was hard to design it is much easier to print!
The design of the bell is such that it takes absolutely no support material, and even though you need to print it at 100% infill most of the plastic is used in the top and bottom of the print.
In total it only took my printer about 4 hours to print and me 5 minutes to post process (removing the brim and getting rid of a few strings).
So all in all this is a fun, unique, and easy to print 3d printed ornament!
