The file 'Christmas Light Spiral Tree Topper Prototype 3D Printer Model' is (stl,f3d) file type, size is 432.5KB.
Make 8 of the leg brackets, and attach with 1/4" screws and nylock nuts. They should be about 2 inches long. The original design uses a 3 inch PVC center pole and the legs use 3/4 inch PVC. The idea is to attach the legs to make an octagonal shape for the tree, then using center braces and an octagon at the bottom, form a structure. Attach the strings in a spiral fashion and attach permanently to the legs, but not the bracing. When it is time to store it, you remove the braces and all guy wires, and then fold it up for storage.
I printed the prototype with PLA to make sure everything would fit ok. You may have to sand the inside where the PVC goes to make the 3 inch PVC and the 3/4 inch PVC fit correctly. For a functional part, I would use PETG, so it will hold up to the elements better, as well as have some flexibility.
I also uploaded the fusion 360 archive file to where hopefully one can customize the parameters if one wanted to change the size of the PVC support to something slightly smaller.
