I was playing around with the clip design and thought that I could make it dual purpose so it could also be printed as a wire holder. Not really needed but more of a design and printing exercise. They also clip nicely to shower curtain rods, curtain rods and closet rods or other 1" dowels/rods.

The new design has an open back so it can be clipped to the cane and can hold the wires. It will also work as the clip that slides onto the Peg Shaft part.
The new clip is designed to print nicely in Vase or Spiralize mode. I use a 0.6 nozzle with a print width of 1mm since the part thickness is 2mm. The part takes about 6 minutes to print and prints cleaner than in regular mode. Just be sure to increase your temp and/or slow down your print speed.

I have also uploaded a Triple Connector piece that connects three of the clips together in case you want to link the canes together for storage etc. This piece is also designed for Vase/Spiralize printing.

As an extra I decided to use the clip as a broom holder. When I went to check the size I found that I had 3 different sizes for brooms, vacuum wands and dusters etc. I have added 3 different sized (20mm; 25mm; 30mm) clips. I have also included two different wall parts that the clips slide into. Fasten the wall unit to the wall and then slide the proper sized clip on.
The wall parts are a single screw and a double screw unit. Pick the one you prefer. If the clip is too tight you may need to sand down any elephant foot or protrusions on the clip. They are meant to be tight but you need to be able to slide them on and off the wall clip.

The 25mm clip fits the 1" Candy Canes.

All the clips are designed to be printed in spiralize mode with a Line width of 1mm. If you print with a larger line width the part may not fit the bases.

Summary
While visiting my grand kids over the holidays I noticed that some of their outdoor lights (candy canes) were lying on the ground. The bottom spike had broken off so they needed some other form of support.
I originally designed a single piece, support clip that snapped around the 1" candy cane and had a couple of stabilizing points on the base that stuck into the ground. The part required an extra 8 to 10" camping spike/nail to provide the main support.

The part was fine but using a single piece meant the strength of the part was good vertically, but the clips, where they attached to the candy cane, were weak. I opted for a multi part design that allowed me to print the support in one direction and the clips in another, maximizing the strength of the individual parts.

Basically the clips connect to the candy cane shaft and the support base slides onto the clips. It would also be possible to use the clips alone and some kind of spike (cut piece of wood or long metal rod) that attaches to the clips to hold up the candy cane. The printed base extend about 100 mm above the ground. A camping spike is needed to provide the support into the ground, or the leverage from the length of the cane will allow it to fall over. The two short spikes are only meant as stabilizers, not to hold the whole thing up.

If the clip is tight on the base it is probably easier to fit it to the base first and then clip it to the candy cane.

You can adjust your slicer settings to shrink or expand the clip hole that slides over the base shaft. If it is too loose you will get more movement of the cane.

Note: I have test fitted the clips to the canes but I have not actually mounted the canes using tent spikes to see how well they stand.
If you try them please let me know in the comments whether they hold the canes up well enough. They may require a longer base piece but I hope that the 100mm is long enough.
