The file 'Chip Chess With Storage Tubes 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 2.0MB.
This chess set is made of token-style pieces, each with a diameter of 38.5 mm and a height of 3.3 mm, comparable in size to standard poker chips.
Includes two types of storage options: a cylindrical tube and a rook-shaped case, each equipped with a secure screw-top lid to safely contain your pieces. I've included an alternate rook-shaped container without the threading, for easy access if it's not going to be traveling anywhere. Any of the individual case configurations will hold all 32 pieces needed for a game.
Print a set of pieces, swap filament and print again for two unique sets.
The Rook Case Top, threaded or not, is the only part that requires supports.
I'm happy with how the pieces feel as tokens, you'll find yourself riffling with your dead pieces like poker chips.
This set does not include a board, but will work well on standard boards with 50 or 60mm squares.
I tried using Cura's Ironing on the top layer of one of my sets, but I wasn't particularly happy with the result. Your mileage may vary.
I originally had the tokens designed as double-sided, with the thought that a textured build plate could help differentiate opposing sides if you only had one filament on-hand. However this made build plate adhesion a little dicey, so these pieces are single sided only.
