Summary

Remix of an overall great design by elanaut, modified to fit my 2023 Chevy Bolt EV a bit better.

Here's what I changed:

  • Brought in front 1mm to each side and pushed out rear wider by 1mm each side, makes a bit of a more snug / perfect fit.
  • Deleted the slots in the vertical divider since they're not necessary and created printing issues for me (with admittedly cheap filament).
  • I raised the height of the divider so that it's pretty close aligned to the top of the cubby (see picture). With the original design, there is a gap by the ceiling, and my keys or sunglasses would mingle. To do this, the divider is no longer symmetrical. I am pretty sure the front is the taller end, but you'll figure it out.
  • I also made the middle leg of the vertical divider a snap fit leg, instead of just an aligner. It does make it harder to install but I figured it'd be more secure once you figure out where you want it.

For me, the perfect placement is, sunglasses to one side of divider (to prevent getting scratches on the lens), and the other side I pile my wallet, then slip the keys in on top. Phone is alone and can wirelessly charge now without crap getting under it.

It is a little hard to get just one item out of it, but that's not really the shelf's fault (just overall a small space).

Print in PETG for hot internal car temperatures in the summer.
