This is a simplified chess set with a portable carrying case. Pieces and board is designed to be fitted with magnets and steel panels to securely transport and keep pieces on the board. The game board is designed to be small yet comfortable to play. The game board is 180mm x 180mm but can easily be scaled up as needed (Full box is 200mm x 200mm).
I designed the pieces to be a simplified Staunton yet follow the overall curves while still being easily identifiable. In retrospect, I think I would have preferred printed this without magnets and designed the box to appropriately retain the pieces.in place. I'll most likely design another version that is made strictly without magnets and possibly designed for multi-material capable printers.
Here are my materials used:

The Magnets I used are CRAZY strong which causes the entire board to lift when moving pieces. The pieces also attract to each other so i had to do some simple design changes to the board to Improve the design. I'm not super happy with the final box design as it requires you to print with lots of supports unless you have multi-material and wish to insert the steel plate during the print but it will have to do. As a quick note, avoid encapsulating magnets inside of prints as it can pop-out and attach to the nozzle or mess up your bed sensor.
Animated Box Hinge
New Box is uploaded with pin an hinge Assembly and print instructions below!

Updated Hinge to prevent hinge wobble. It wasn't worth the price of making it have curved design.

New Photos!!
My Print is complete and I've swapped the box model to have an exposed pin (in case you need to remove it later). I've also set this as a completed project (no longer work in progress).
