The file 'Cheap Fast Chessboard (40mm Squares) 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 30.1KB.
I designed this chessboard because all the ones that i found online where to expensive to print and uselessly fancy. This chessboard is easy to print and inexpensive.
A single piece is 40mm so if you want a full size chessboard you need to scale it up to 150% but I don't know if it will print well because of the bridges.
The piece has plenty of clearance so that it's easy and fast to print but also remains snug when assembled.
I added an edge around the board to make it seem fancy. If you don't want to print the border you can just snap of the tabs that stick out the board.
Print without supports and with the piece facing the opposite way it is in the file so that the printer bridges over the gaps.
I matched the chessboard with this piecies by TheDuker you can find here:

If you want to use them too you'll need to resize them to 85/90% or as you prefer.
I found them as minimal as the board and also easily recognisable when playing.
This is my first post: please share opinions and tips. Ask me if you want the project and i'll add it to the file list.
The corner piecies are a work in progress and that's why you don't see them in the photos but they work and snap on the same as the piecies.
