Customizable chair foot that has a cup to hold a felt pad! Works for any chair with cylindrical legs. Allows you to specify the angle at which the leg hits the ground for perfect contact (most are 10 degrees or so). A small retaining wall stops the felt from slipping out of place.
The felt cup allows you to place 1" diameter (or whatever size you specify) round felt pads on the chair. The cup retains the felt so it doesn't slide off.
I designed this thing because my kitchen table chairs (on tile floor) would always mark up the floor as dirt accumulated under the chair leg. Self-stick felt pads always seemed to slide off. The little plastic protectors you buy in hardware stores (the ones with a nail coming through) would eventually accumulate dirt as well, so did not solve the problem. With this thing you can keep the felt pad right where it's supposed to be, retained by the felt cup. When the felt pad accumulates too much dirt and starts scuffing the floor, it is easy to remove them from the felt cup and replace them. On my floor this only has to be done about once every 4 to 5 months for the chairs we use everyday. Less often for chairs not typically used.
