The first version was a success, but it was certainly not perfect, for this reason I didn't stop and I improved the filter system, increasing the filtering surface by more than 77%.
In addition, the tabs have been redesigned for easier insertion and the perforated surfaces have been reduced to minimize air infiltration​​​​​​​.

March 2020, COVID-19 is upsetting our lives.
In Italy, but mostly in Lombardy, the situation is critical, the supply of personal protective equipment is difficult, for this reason I thought of dedicating my time to creating a mask that can be made at home, by anyone with a laser cutting machine and distributed in the neighborhood to those who need it.
I discovered the design of iczfirz, a maker from Hong Kong and I decided to modify it to completely unbind it from 3D printing, after a week of work and several prototypes it was born:

CeMask - Facial Flexible Mask

It is a half mask with interchangeable filters (rather in non-woven fabric) designed to be made of plastic or cardboard with a maximum thickness of 0.5 mm.

It is not intended to be used in a hospital environment, it does not have any type of certification and does not provide any type of guarantee against infection from any external microorganism.

The template includes:

• Main piece
• 2 filter covers
• Filters cutting mask
• 2 tools for filters positioning

The extra material needed is:

• 14 cm or 5 1/2" of wire
• Rubber bands or similar

The mask is sized for an adult with medium head circumference, it fits for me and my girlfriend also.
Feel free to scale up or down all the designs together in order them to fit.
