This is a two-piece print - one piece is the outer holder that also friction fits into the lens shield of the AZ 102. The second smaller part fits in behind and holds the solar film ( user provided ) in place with a little bit of glue (I used Gorilla Glue).
The clear aperture on this filter is 66mm which is a lot smaller than the AZ 102's full aperture. The reason for this is to stop down the telescope to be f/10, thereby reducing chromatic aberration at the eyepiece.
WARNING NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WITHOUT A FILTER! Always use an ISO approved solar filter or film when observing the Sun. Do not leave your telescope unattended. Children should be supervised.
