The file 'Caterpillar Comb 3D Printer Model' is (stl, svg) file type, size is 865.0KB.
I wanted to recreate a favorite comb that a friend has had for a LONG time. She was starting to worry that it would break soon. I discreetly took a close up picture of it and traced it with Inkscape. Each layer in Inkscape is intended to be a different object or elevation change. I saved each layer as a separate file and uploaded them into TinkerCAD. From there I reconstructed the elevations and then adjusted the slopes and elevation curves slightly. The SVG file is updated even beyond what I used to create the file if anyone is trying to copy my process.
I've removed it from the STL file but I even added her name on the back side of the comb. It's easy to use text to spell out the name, make the height as low as possible (1mm) then mirror the text, set the color to "hole", position in the center of the back of the comb and group it all together.
