(updated Dec 19, 2022)
My initial cat Yin-Yang trinket seems to be more popular than I anticipated (Thing 5629677), so I thought I'd fix it up a bit to hopefully make it easier to print and use.
The-Real-Maker's make (https://www.thingiverse.com/make:1068073) made me realize a backing plate would be nice, especially if the opposite colors show through the holes. I also hopefully made it easier to add a jump ring and chain.
The pieces are symmetric when rotated 180 degrees, so half of the top and bottom can be printed together in one color and then again in another color. The pieces are oriented such that the smooth first layers printed can face outwards while the final layers printed can be oriented in and bonded, if desired. (I made that change after printing the one above, so the front face in the picture isn't the smooth side like it would be now.)
Designed with Tinkercad (I also tweaked the frame using Blender), sliced with KISSlicer, printed on a PolyPrinter 229.
For the cats I tried a 0.2mm extrusion width, a 0.2mm (first) to 0.4mm (max) layer thickness. and a 1mm skin thickness. For the frame I went with 0.25mm, 0.25-0.5mm, and 1.5mm.
A big thank you goes out to the very nice & helpful folks at the Fort Worth Library for being able to use their printers!
