The file 'CAT FLAP 3000 3D Printer Model' is (step, stl, pdf) file type, size is 2.7MB.
Hi Cats,
i designed this 1,5 years ago and tested so far. 3D-prints combined with plywood. You can use it one sided (indoor with outdoor cover) or double-sided. If you use it on both sides, pay attention to the inside and outside plywood parts. You need one screw 3,5x10mm (spax) to mount the flap-in to the flap-out-frame.
The slot (1-2 mm) between the door and the tunnel on usual cat flaps is here closed with the flap-out-frame. No wind comes through here. The flap has a diameter of 9 mm (usually 2-3 mm). It keeps the temperature better.
I added a .step file in the directory to customize the tunnel length for house doors.
