This complements our Spare Cars for Skaneateles Handicrafters Wooden Railway at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6324076 .
You can read about these early wooden railways here: https://www.oldwoodtoys.com/2009_update.htm
This part of the collection is cars that retain the simplicity of the original all wood designs but with some optional modern variations.
The cars can be fitted with magnetic couplers in place of the screw hooks and eyes.
The cars can be fitted with flanged railway wheels.
The flat car is an accurate copy of the wooden part. The others rely on my childhood memories, aided by Internet photos of course.
I expect to add copies of more cars when I find them.
The cars are intended to retain the simple design of the original wooden parts. You should be able to turn them on the printer bed so that support is not needed. Ideally these cars and wheels should be printed using wood filament but my printer does not handle that.
The versions with Duplo or Lego studs are not authentic but people seem to like the idea of Lego on wooden railways. Also included are match trucks to allow these trains to be hauled by modern motorized locomotives with magnet couplers. There is also a matching roof for the Duplo or Lego cars to hide the studs if you prefer.
Here are a few with rail wheels running on vintage 3-rail tin-plate tube rail track:
