Summary

This is a modification of the original Zaribo (or Caribou) Y-Axis (https://github.com/Zaribo/Zaribo-MK3) to replace the Misumi bearings by linear rails of 15x15 size. I have used the next rails and blocks:

  • 2 x HGH15CA blocks
  • 2 x HGR15RH rails (length must be 354mm)

    I have used only two blocks instead three because they are too big and they don't fit on the left rail, a special adaptor has been designed.

The Motor Holder an Y-Tensioner must be changed by the ones I have included here because the carriage is 10mm higher, so I have increased the heigth of these pieces by 10mm.

WARNING: The use of this modification implies loosing 10mm height, because the size of the blocks. So the firmware must be modified by 10mm less (310mm for a Zaribo 320) for Z calibration to work.

  • Eight M4x8 screws
  • Two M3x12 screws
  • Four M3x16 screws

Y-Tensioner:

  • One M6x20 screw

Y-Motor Holder:

  • Two M6x12 screws
  • One M6x20 screw

Minor fix: corrected the distance between holes to attach the heatbed, it was 21mm and must be 20mm
