So after a few iterations (see my other tent stakes on Thingiverse), here is my take on (this time truly) ultralight carbon tent pegs. At only 6 g / piece (140 mm with 75% infill) they are surprisingly robust (more so than many commercial ultralight tent pegs I have used) and the minimalistic design means they use up very little space in your backpack.
Very fast and easy to print. Ideally use carbon filament, if you have some (looks great but in my experience does not add too much strength, so basically any PLA or ABS will do). I have added small caps (optional, add a drop of glue to attach them to the top). The idea is to print the caps in your favorite (bright) color. This really helps to find them in the grass when packing in the morning.
I print my tent pegs with 75% infill (use a strong infill pattern, e.g. cubic) but you could save additional weight by reducing the percentage of infill. The STL is for 140 mm (my favorite length) and 7.5 mm diameter but can easily be scaled to pretty much any size you need.
Enjoy!
