Cap for Sony DCR-VX2100 camcorder. I know, this thing is too specific. But it looks nice and works perfectly. So you'll might find it useful as mechanical reference/inspiration for your own design with respect to the springs and the guiding rails. It is made of 2 plates which have to be screwed together and two handles which must be fixated by superglue.
