Summary

This is how I mount my Raspberry Pi Camera v2.1 to the Y axis and heated bed carriage of my Prusa i3 MK2. My way to keep an Octoprint eye on your print.

The lower bracket is placed along the front beam of the headed bed holder of the i3 MK2.

This does not contain the camera case itself. I used the http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:92208 Raspi Camera case and added a M3 screw for mounting. This can be seen in the images. I suggest using a shorter M3 screw, to get the camera close to the bed.

In the current configuration it is not easy to adjust the camera viewpoint. If this becomes an issue I will try to find a better mounting solution. I am open to suggestions.

Things to keep in mind:

  1. Make sure to print in ABS or other more heat resistent material, since it is very close to the heated bed.

  2. The display does not longer fit in the front of the printer when this mount is installed. Make sure to test the full range of movement after you attach your camera.
