Hi!
I designed these calipers as a fun and useful project.
It has markings every 1 mm, so if you're in between you're measuring .5 mm. If you look closely it is even a bit more accurate ;). It has virtually no play; But that's also dependent on what print settings you're using. I've added 3 types of sliding jaws, all three of them featuring different detentions regarding the slider.
Type 1; .6mm "play'' (which I've used, and resulted in no play at all)
Type 2; .4mm "play"
Type 3; .2mm "play"
Please share your experiences and findings if you make one, i'd love to hear (and see) them!
P.S. I might make an inch version, let me know if you'd like that.
Cheers,
Jordi B
