The file 'Caliper Depth Gauge 3D Printer Model' is (pdf,f3d,stl) file type, size is 1.1MB.
I bought a used 3d printer and the lead screws got bent up in shipping so I wanted to try to straighten them. I created a jig using cubes I made with an 8.2mm bore. One I printed as a half block.
I needed a dial indicator and ordered one, but was too impatient to wait on the dial. I thought I would try using my calipers and created a stand to put them in that would allow the depth gauge bar to slide out of the bottom.
It wasn’t great. If there was light pressure pushing down on the jaw, it would have worked better than gravity. However on a flat surface, this would perform more within it’s design than on a round lead screw. Maybe you will have a use for it.
I included the Fusion360 file if you wish to modify it to your needs.
