The file 'Cable Stop / Cable Retainer 3D Printer Model' is (stl) file type, size is 14.0KB.
I needed something to keep laptop power cables from slipping through the opening in a desk. Most of the ones I found had to be attached to the desk, wouldn't allow the cable to move, and required some amount of cooperation from the user. I'm putting these in a lab with 38 seats, so I designed one that just snaps on the cable, allows movement of the cable, and doesn't require any action on the part of the user. The cable can only fall through if they intentionally remove the clip. (It also has a narrow part in the middle where it can be zip-tied to the cable if need be.)
This one is designed to slip over the 11mm round barrel of a Dell Latitude power cable connector and clip to the 4mm cable. The desk has a 1/2 wide slot, so it is large enough to prevent it from sliding through that slot at any angle.
