Update 1-11-20: One of my female pieces broke, so I made a new male piece "Male 2" that is slightly smaller. This will hopefully put less strain on the female pieces.
Update 3-18-20: Added new female piece design "Female 2". This works better than the original so far.
Update 4-5-20: Added a new male and female piece "Male 3" and "Female 3". The "Female 2" bends after a little use. These new versions will hopefully work better.
Original text: I needed a few replacement cabinet catches for the house and boat. And after several failed designs, I came up with this! It holds doors securely and is simple to print. I used PLA.
I printed these on their sides with no support. I used a brim and with layers of .1mm. No post sanding was necessary for me.
The pic with the white powder: Use flour or baking soda to mark exactly where the 'male' piece should be mouned after you have installed the 'female' piece - the one with two prongs. Be careful to install the female piece at the correct depth back from the face of the door. My doors had inset panels about 6mm deep.
