Summary

Logitech C270 mount for the FlashForge Creator Pro and similar printers (only tested on FFCP).

I really liked this design because I wanted my camera to be positioned as if I were actually watching it plus someone already made a part for it to be detachable, so I modified the design to work for the C270. The beam portions of my design I used 1/2" Pex pipe (.625" OD) along with a 90° elbow. That way all I needed to actually model was the end cap adapters for the Pex pipe. The actual part that attaches to the C270 is located here. This part is great because it allows you to adjust the C270 vertically and horizontally. That part relies on this design to mount on so I based my Pex end cap design off of that.

If you're confused on what you need for this frankenstein design look below.

Parts needed to print:

Parts needed to buy:

  • 1 x 1/2" Pex pipe (The horizontal and vertical Pex pipe lengths I used are 4.75" and 2" respectively, but the great part about this design is you can cut it to your own desired lengths.)
  • 1 x 1/2" Pex pipe elbow

Notes:

  • Although the C270 Mount uses the original hinge pin it doesn't have enough friction with the mount itself so it'll just flop around. You can use your own screw/nut to tighten it once you have the camera in the position you want, but I found it best to control the position with the USB cord and securing it with some velcro. See my pictures to get a better idea.
  • Using OctoPrint + GPX Plugin with a Raspberry Pi to record timelapses with the webcam. You can see my OctoPrint build here.
