I crush my honey comb to harvest honey and wanted a simplified way of draining and storing the wax. I bought a five gallon bucket from the big box store with a screw lid and these bulkhead fittings from amazon. This is for 3/8" OD, 1/4" ID vinyl tubing. The fittings above are curved to match the curve of the bucket and the washers are 30mm OD and 22mm ID, slightly larger than the diameter of the threaded portion of the bulkheads. I printed the washers in TPU and added two on the inside, one between the bucket and the curved bulkhead mount and one between the bulkhead mount and the bulkhead nut. I bought a ~10" fine mesh flour sifter which press-fits perfectly inside the 5 gallon bucket roughly two inches above the bottom, leaving a perfect gap for the honey to flow down and the wax to dry out.
The other end of the tube is attached to this thing i made to allow me to easily fill mason jars. All in all, a low-tech, inexpensive, simple way to harvest honey.
