Welcome to the Brutus 3D Printer Project Page!

Welcome to the Brutus 3D Printer project page! This is the Brutus 3D printer, my second 3D printer (check out the Bonsai 3D printer!). This printer is based loosely on the Lulzbot line of 3D printers. My main goals for this printer were to make it aesthetic, simple to assemble, and easy to operate. All the 3D printed parts can be printed with a 1kg spool of material. The printer takes up very little space on the desktop (1.5ft x 2ft) and has a build volume of 215 x 215 x 135 mm. It runs on a 32bit SKR mini e3 v1.2 with integrated TMC2209 drivers, allowing for nearly silent printing. The printer also features a TFT24 full color touchscreen, MK2B heated bed, BLTouch auto leveling, and dual part cooling fans.

I've included all STEP files, firmware. and print settings in the file section for anyone to remix/modify! Please share your remixes for others to use!

A note on the max build height: The max build height can easily be increased by increasing the length of the Z aluminum extrusions, Z smooth rods, and lead screws.

Where to Start?

1) Print parts from Brutus_STLS.zip. The number in the parenthesis indicates how many of each part you should print! See the Print-Settings section for more info!

Also print these if you need them :
Touch Screen Case: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3966593
Remixed PSU Cover: Coming soon
Remixed Bowden Extruder: Coming soon

2) Download Brutus_BOM (either excel or pdf) for comprehensive parts list.

3) Assemble the printer! Download Brutus_Screw_Guide (either excel or pdf). This chart shows what screws/hardware go with each part. I haven't made a guide or assembly video, so take a look at the pictures for more help. Assembling the printer is relatively straightforward.

4) Wire the printer! Download the wiring guide from the files section!

5) Download the firmware from the files section and upload it to the board. See youtube for help with this!

6) Print away. Check out the uploaded print settings for Slic3r!
