Hi, its me again, today I officially want to share Browning Hi-Power pistol model I reworked, of course the official creator is Mussy. It has moving slide, barrel staying in place, moving trigger, working slide catch and safety and some design upgrades, I changed some things in the model according to my problems I had while assembling but I don
t know if they would work for you, only thing that im still not sure is the slide moving, there is very limited space in the body to fit in the springs and the pin, so I over enginered the whole thing, which requires
good clearence beetween parts. I also dont know about the mag and mag catch, because when I try to remove the slide it is very hard, I don`t know if its the mag catch or the clearence beetween body and mag, please share your
thoughts about improving the model, Ill implement it, also feel free to give me suggestions what Mussy design you would want to see realistificated ;)
Now the assemby.
Once you print all the parts check if the barrel goes freely throught the slide, if not sand it, or ptint the barrel 1-2% smaller, but I preffer sanding, next slide in the slide onto the body, if slides without blocking - good
Next take the slide pins and check if the fit into eachother and into the slide slide pin2 has thinner wall on one side, this one should be facing up when inserted the slide pin1 has to be glued
because of the lack of space there to make a hole for it but wait for glueing to the last step, now assemble the slide and put two 34mm springs one in the slide one loose in the body groove, add the slide plate and check if the slide works correctly,
then take trigger and put smaller spring into it, then try to wiggle its way into the trigger hole in the body, and put 2mm/21mm nail for the hinge, also for the slide catch
take 1.70mm/27mm nail for the safety hinge, then take mag catch and put it in the body, and use the original wire from Mussy model, or use a 1.50mm wire and slide it from the top to bottom into the body small hole in mag chamber,
when you did that try to insert the mag and see if it works, if not bend the wire closer to the wall to add more tension for it to hold the mag, next the grips, take the grip pins and put there in the body and close it with the grips, it should hold it
but if not just glue it. if you did all of this you can glue the barrel into its place try to center it to not be crooked take pin1 and try to glue it also centered where the small dent is, this should help you do it symmetrical, if you did
all of this now wait for the glue to dry, then check if everything works, slides correctly, fits. Now the sights, take small piece of your 1.75mm filament and shove it into the small holes cutting the extra material off, you can use two different colours
for the front and rear sights.
I hope you can understand what I just wrote XD Im still learning english so it looks like that.
Have fun !
P.S I made the whole work in tinkercad
