The file 'Braille Chess Set 3D Printer Model' is (stl, txt) file type, size is 2.6MB.
This is a prototype chess set for people whom are blind, or visually impaired. The board is raised up to allow sensing though touch, and the pieces have Braille letters to identify the color and piece. The pieces and the board are 3D printed. This was made as a demo to illustrate the usefulness of 3D printing technology for accessibility purposes.
I designed this intuitively, so I have no idea how well this design works with someone whom is visually impaired. So, please send me feedback if you test this design out!
