This is the Moonlight Scimitar from The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild!
I modelled it in fusion 360 over around a month and then printed it on my Tronxy i3 style machine (very cheap kit) and it came out great.
I designed it to have hollow channels through it so that it can be fitted with Neopixels and an Arduino Nano and can light up with animations and patterns. You could also print it out normally without using LEDs and it would be fairly simple to do.
Once printed the parts can simply be glued together (I used a super glue gel but any strong glue would work great) and then you can paint it. I chose not to paint the blade as it allowed more light to come through from the LEDs.
I ended up needing more space for the electronics so I bound up the centre with twine and cloth to hide the wiring inside which isn't perfect but I think it looks ok and it is super functional!
Sorry if there aren't enough photos, I don't have the sword anymore as I made it as a gift for someone who is now enjoying it!
Feel free to ask questions and if anyone wants them then I can send the fusion 360 files out too.
EDIT: If you do print and make this sword then I would love to see it so please upload your makes!! :)
