My gaming group are trying to remake Space Hulk entirely in 3D printed format, but 4th ed. has a few tiles that aren't part of this original set. So, each of us took on the challenge of designing one of those missing tiles, and I got to do the boarding pod. I wanted to keep it as closely in line with the original tile set as possible, but still make it stand out from just an ordinary corridor with an end cap. I added an exterior armor texture, an assortment of engines, an array of what could be reverse thrusters or melta cannons to slow the pod during entry or help it tear through the hull of a ship more easily, as well as its own armored doorway to differentiate it from the rest of the board. Just a fun piece that I thought could be useful to anyone else attempting this project. As I'm not the one printing the board, I don't yet know how well it will print, but I suspect it will turn out as other pieces so far have printed without issue.
