I bought an official BMW roof rack for my 1 Series E87, with the hope of having a perfect fit.
However, it destroyed the covers for the roof rack screws.
And BMW doesn't sell the covers as spare parts. You must buy the entire roof rail cover and paint it.
So I decided to print them. After a few iterations, now they are strong and don't twist after several days under the sun.
I painted them using retouch paint from AE, and the result is quite acceptable.
