Summary

This bracket allows you to mount a BlueSCSI v2 Desktop 50 pin 2023.10a in a Sun SPARCstation 10. I don't know what other Sun machines use the same type of drive mount.

I'm not sure which versions of BlueSCSI v2 this bracket is compatible with. It definitely works with 2023.10a, which is what I have. I noticed that the screw hole locations differ between at least 2023.09a and 2023.10a. I find that the board snaps into the bracket fairly securely without even needing to be screwed down, though.

I printed the grommets using TPU since they need some flex to slide into place and to provide the friction that holds it in place. The original Sun drive grommets seem to be made of a soft plastic or rubber, so I figured TPU was a good substitute.

Screws I used:

  • M3x6mm self-tapping to secure the board to the bracket
  • UTS 6-32 (common computer case screw) to secure the grommets to the bracket
