The tilt mechanism in our window blinds failed. Replacement tilt mechanisms for hexagonal or D-shaped rods are readily available, for $5 or less, through Amazon or eBay. However, our blinds use a rectangular rod (2.3 x 4.5 mm) and I could not find a replacement.
These particular blinds are always kept tilted outwards and never need to be adjusted, only needing to hold their angle. Therefore, I decided to simply and quickly design a monolithic block to insert into blinds to hold the rod at a fixed angle, rather than allowing it to rotate. This took only a few minutes, and another 7 minutes to print, and this was a "good enough" substitute for the actual tilt mechanism.
I have included both the .STL file and the Autodesk Inventor .IPT file.
