Summary

**THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS**
Whens the last time you build a SSB rig? Well this was my first and not my last rig i will build. The bill of materials (BOM) is uploaded as a excel file. It contains all the parts i used, prices if i bought them. Along with the 3D printed parts file names. Included is some good photos of how it was put together, I don't feel like taking it apart. But some build tips i have is read the HfSigs wire up its how to wire it up. And keep the leads short.

Bitx 40 SSB Radio with Digital VFO (http://www.hfsigs.com/)

Case (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plastic-Electronic-Enclosure-Project-PCB-Box-Case-Desk-Shell-Cover-200x175x70mm-/322017583916?hash=item4af9be632c:g:AGsAAOSwQYZWzXzJ)

VFO Knob: A 3d Printable knob see files, meant for a 1/8" set screw (see files) Updated 2/19/2017

Volume Knob: Really simple, use a 1/8" set screw to hold it on.

Screen Spacer: With a hole in the case the screen doesn't fit flat so i created a spacer, one thing wrong with it is that the small section i cut out to make fit correctly.

Mic and PTT: This is a two piece mic built with the parts included in the Bitx 40 kit. The only thing that is not included was an Old CB Mic Cable. The cable i have came off of an old raider 4020 CB. Did do a little work on the button on the mic, use a 1/8" pin 0.5" long and a cut down pin spring.

I will post more photos when i have time (3/5/2017)
