My bird houses have tripods to rest on. Unfortunately the slope of the legs of the tripod is not steep enough to hinder rodents climbing up and steeling the birds food...
This thing is a successor of my

This design approach blocks the "rodent runway" (i.e. upper) side of the leg with some wiring combs. Those wiring combs are meant to be used for alternate wiring a pair of bare wires and connecting them to an appropriate electric fence device. (Attention: if you don't have sufficient knowledge about electric fencing - don't use it!) Since rodents are mainly nocturnal and birds (in bird houses) diurnal the electric fencing can be restricted to night times.
The sleeve around the leg has some 5mm bore holes for mounting.
The sleeves are designed for legs with a cross-section of about 33 x 40 mm.
